Seaside Beetle

I have included our 65 VW in this painting of coastal view from along Shag Point between Oamaru and Dunedin. I have used artistic licence here and made some minor changes to the out look but painting very much reflects the area. The old cottages use to be coal miners homes which are now used as seaside holiday cottages. Area has a very interesting history.

This one is of Taylor's Mistake near Christchurch one of my favoured spots with lots rustic batches and old over grown macrocarpa trees.

Interior Still Life Paintings

Two new interior still life paintings . Both are acrylic 20 by 24 inches. "Down by the Boat Sheds" .... is based on a view over Otago Harbour.


And "Summer Time View" is a view over Gore Bay.

Old Temuka Wool Scour

A recent painting I did of an old wool scour that hasn't been used for a long time. I was attracted to the weathered south wall and its reflections in the creek. "Red Reflections" Acrylic 24 by 20 inches

Wine Theme

New acrylic paintings I have completed and all with a wine theme for one reason of another.




"A New Chapter" was a commission for the Manager of one of the large meat works in Timaru. The view is out over Caroline Bay with the factory he managed in the very distant. Size is 18 by 24 inches.







"By the Beautiful Sea" was painted for a competition sponsored by a large winery which I missed out on any prizes but did get a free bottle of wine for my effort. 12 by 12 inches.
